The Creation of Soul Haven

Caroline Ferrari and Sarah Erdman Jordan founded Soul Haven Counseling with the goal of providing a more personalized mental health and wellness experience for adults and children. At Soul Haven, we believe that everyone deserves individualized care and attention, and we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our clients.

The Souls Behind Soul Haven

Caroline is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She gained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina while playing Collegiate tennis. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Caroline spent the next two years in the University of Georgia’s Clinical and Mental Health Professional Counseling program. Her experience includes children and families suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, nightmares, anger outbursts, and other stress symptoms related to the experience of Trauma. Caroline was also given the unique opportunity to counsel in an elementary school setting for two years. She has also spent time aiding parents in more effective communication with their children by way of parent-coaching.
Caroline is trained in Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and certified in Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) as well as Telehealth and COVID-19.

 

Her main goal in session is to create a warm and safe space for clients to feel welcome and secure. Through the use of spiritually minded counseling, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard Caroline hopes to create a comfortable and warm environment where clients feel confident to explore their relationship with others and self.

Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Georgia. She has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults providing trauma-focused therapy. She has trainings in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Medical Play Therapy, AutPlay, and Creative Interventions.

 

Sarah has a passion for working with children and adults who have experienced trauma, life transitions, desire creative interventions in therapy, and have chronic medical conditions. Sarah is LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally aware.
